At the recent Draper’s Fashion Awards (an industry highlight), the Dressing Room in St Albans walked away with the win for The UK’s most Inspiring Independent Business, beating off stiff competition from higher profile names such as Coggles, Browns, and Jules B.

Founded by Deryane Tadd in 2005, the store caters perfectly its well dressed thirty-something clientele, specialising in quality day-to-day staples.

“This Year’s number one certainly deserves the top spot.  Run by an inspiring woman, this exemplary independent continues to drive exclusivity, offer unrivalled customer service and deliver a great multi-channel experience.” Ana Santi, Deputy Editor, Drapers.

Caroline Nodder, Drapers’ editor in chief, said: “The Dressing Room is a fantastic example of the brilliant businesses thriving in the independent sector through their creativity, business acumen and phenomenal customer insight. Drapers is a champion of the indie sector and we are really proud to be able to highlight 100 of the very best that the whole industry should be proud of.”
