“Lightning in a Bottle is probably, in my opinion, one of the most important festivals – a lot of spiritual leaders are speaking there and truly changing people’s perceptions. It is a very significant event in the music and art community. Where Coachella can sometimes feel commercial and phony, Lightning in a Bottle is the real thing,” says PHOENIX’s LA Editor Gitte Meldgaard.
For 2014 the musical line-up sees Moby, Little Dragon, Phantogram and Gramatik headlining with support from Beats Antique, Amon Tobin, Baauer, Gold Panda, Simian Mobile Disco, Claude VonStroke and many more electro gurus.
But it’s Lightning in a Bottle’s Lucent Temple of Consciousness, built out of recycled and found objects, that makes us embrace out inner hippy. With over 300 experiences, including “more yoga than you can shake your chakras at!”, as well as plenty of mind and body expanding workshops, this is one festival that’s sure to leave you revitalised rather than ravaged.
