Celebrate girl power in style with the Southbank Centre’s Women of the World Festival

It’s official: sisters are doing it for themselves for 2015. With Sport England’s ‘This Girl Can’ campaign being heralded a roaring success by women across the land, it is with equal excitement that Southbank Centre has announced its programme for WOW – the Women of the World Festival.

No Guts, No Heart, No Glory

Now in its fifth year, this boundary-breaking festival presents, recognises and celebrates women with a programme of performance, dance, cabaret and comedy created and performed by women. The line-up includes a world premiere of Bobby Baker’s Drawing on a (Grand) Mother’s Experience – a performance piece that explores the artist’s fascination with the role of domesticity and belief that it is undervalued by society – and a London premier of No Guts, No Heart, No Glory, which follows the experiences of five young Muslim women try to forge a career in boxing.

With many other exciting acts included in the line-up, this is a must-visit festival for men and women alike. Tickets are on sale now.

WOW will run from Sunday 1 March – Sunday 8 March.
