Miss Delevingne’s locks enduce office envy once again.

Big hair: it’s a trend long forgotten on the seasonal catwalk; shunned in favour of poker-straight lengths and slick, androgynous pony tails. But it was at Cara Delevingne’s Mulberry handbag presentation that we were transfixed, not just by the next generation of arm candy, but by her volumous, fairytale hair.

The event was an ode to the romanticism and innocence of youth, with fresh, pretty makeup and full, bouncy locks – a stark contrast to the harsh, high-fashion beauty of recent years. But this isn’t about crazy, 80s-reminiscent volume, but rather soft and natural (ish) body with light-reflecting shine. It’s a look we can’t help but envy, and so this week we’re embarking upon a mission to emulate the impossibly glamorous locks of the nation’s most envied model.

The best place to start is with a great volumising shampoo, and our favourite is the newly-launched Biotin and Collagen shampoo from OGX. It isn’t often that we stumble upon a mid-range product which stands tall next to its budget-busting competitors – but we are delighted to say that this one really does. Follow the shampoo with the accompanying conditioner and you will be well on your way to that Mulberry-inspired bounce.

If you aren’t blessed with a head of hair to rival a Pantene advert, you will now need a powerful styling product – we love Aveda’s Pure Abundance Style prep uses a natural corn-derived polymer to boost the hair fibre without that weighty stickyness. Finally, blow dry with a ceramic round brush and curl with a large-barrelled tong, like the latest offering from Babyliss (not as terrifying as it looks, we promise,) and there you have it.

Miss D, eat your heart out.
