From face mists to collagen shots, it’s the small things the make the difference

Hydrating Face Masks
A quick-fix peel-off hydrating face mask is a must when you’re running around and don’t have time to get a facial. I apply one when I know I have an event or when my skin is particularly tired, spotty or in need of an all round pick-me-up. It will work on your skin while you continue with your emails, and the peel means that it’s fuss and mess free.
Toner
With our fast-changing British weather – sunny one minute, chilly and windy the next – balancing the skin is really important. One oft-underrated product I’m never without is toner. It’s the one skincare product that infiltrates skin quickly and produces instant results, giving you smoother and calmer skin year round. There are lots of types for daily use around for you to choose from, so experiment to find the one that works best.
Mist Spray
I always carry different types of face mist sprays. They are handy for pepping up both your look and spirits, especially on a tired mid-week afternoon. If your makeup starts to come off or feels itchy, a spray will help you to revive your look without you having to touch your face and spread bacteria. Lots of modern mists also have lovely smells to help relax and uplift.
Collagen Shots
They may sound faddy, but collagen shots work. They help give your skin the food it needs while boosting your overall water intake. If you’re always on the go like me (I’m writing these tips in the middle of a photo shoot), popping the odd shot helps to make sure that your skin is getting some long-term care.
Lip Scrub
For dry lips, I like to use a mascara wand rather than a toothbrush to help exfoliate the top layer of the skin quickly. Add a smudge of lip scrub or Vaseline and just wipe off with a dry tissue for immediate super soft lips.
