April is one of those weird months. One day it’s warm, the next it might snow. Unpredictable weather equals difficult outfit choices; to coat or not to coat? Do I bring sunglasses? This is where the mythical ‘trans-seasonal’ dressing comes into play. My advice is to ALWAYS carry an umbrella and sunglasses (preferably these Silhouette x Arthur Arbesser ones). Try not to wear tights when possible but carry a pair with you just in case we go into a sudden ice age after lunch.
I’m a big believer that what’s underneath the clothes matters just as much as the outer layers
Too many people avoid colour in their clothes but April is the month that the Spring/Summer collections drop and we can finally inject some colour into our monochrome winter wardrobes. This & Other Stories dress has been on my wish list for a long time. It’s a little out-there but I’m a maximalist at heart, however much I try to channel the Parisian vibe. Paired with some darker accessories though, it becomes an instantly wearable choice. I’m a big believer that what’s underneath the clothes matters just as much as the outer layers and this Swan Lake set from Mimi Holliday is as naughty as it is cute. I can’t go anywhere without a watch and this one by new brand Maven is one of the coolest pieces I own at the moment. Top it all off with a red lipstick and it all comes together: trans-seaonal style at the click of a mouse.
