Yesterday was all lights, camera, action and rock ‘n’ roll at the PHOENIX live photo shoot at Graduate Fashion Week. With DJs Izzy Lawrence and Joel Kane on the decks, Tony & Guy coiffing locks, AOFM painting devilish red pouts, and our very own Fashion Director Rebekah Roy styling the models in graduate designs, PHOENIX provided privy to the exciting world of an editorial photo shoot.

Courtesy of top agency Select our models included actress Joni Kamen, writer Ella Catill, and Nyx Deyn (younger sister of Agyness), rocked sheer lemon and jungle inspiration from Susanna Yi at East London, monochrome scenic prints and equestrian detailing from Sophie Davis at Colchester, and asymmetrical leather tailoring from Sophie Flindes, whilst posing on a revolving circular stage, collaged with PHOENIX editorials and covers. Photographer Clark Franklyn shot the models with neat 50s-style pin-tuck curls, red puckered to-die-for lips, and killer heels by the likes of Kat Maconie and Finsx.

As the shoot progressed, the electro bass-lines and free Propercorn (the new bane of many PHOENIX intern’s lives), attracted a fashionable audience who were impressed by the live show, calling it “refreshing” to see such creativity and action.

Check out Clark Frankyn’s images in our September issue with interviews of the team.
