Let your inner kid out of the toybox and play dress up with Irvoll’s colourful collection.
Splashing a palette of pinks, purples and cyan blues onto a hungry LFW audience created a frenzy of excitement as Fam Irvoll kicked off Vaxuhall Fashion Scout’s shows today at The Freemasons’ Hall. With a carefree canter, models dashed down the runway with pet monsters in tow – plush toy accessories decorating one-eyed friendly fiend print dresses. Tulle ballerina dresses in assorted shades of pink, purple and baby blue worked wonderfully alongside Irvoll’s more mature two tone tops and rich beaded skirts. Fun, loose jackes in lime and dark purple accented the monster print, giving a kitsch late 90s Nickelodeon vibe.
Not leaving all the fun to the grown-ups, comparatively giant sized models gave way to tiny children who sported the last few garments of the collection, confidently strolling the catwalk in jersey monster print garments of their own…Awww.
All essence of pretense seem to have been gobbled up by Irvoll’s AW12 collection – a monstrously fun way to start the week.
