Out of the closet, and straight into your stereo.  Earlier this week in an unsurprising turn of events Mika confirmed he is indeed gay. Never mind that, after delighting us with the number one ‘Grace Kelly’, amongst others the familiar high pitched falsetto voice will be making a smooth return to our radios with another fun bouncy disco-pop number titled ‘Celebrate’.

In an odd combination Pharrell Williams; member of Hip Hop trio N.E.R.D, and producer of some of the biggest urban chart hits of the past years, features on the track which was produced by Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun, Teenager). The song has a straight forward message; leave your ego outside and join in the fun. Add the irresistible synth-based rhythm and a powerful accompanying visuals and you got yourself a hit.

Recorded between Miami and London ‘The Origins of Love’ is the name of his upcoming third studio album out later this year, and described by him as a set of “crazy love songs and tolerance”.

‘Celebrate’ is out September 30th.
